Other clubs and nets in the Ottawa area

  • The Quarter Century Wireless Association
  • The Welcome Mat Net is sponsored by the Ottawa Valley Mobile Radio Club (OVMRC) and is held every Wednesday at 19:00L on their club repeater, VE3TWO (147.300 + 100.0 Hz I/O). It is a rag chew net structured to encourage new amateurs to get on the air.
  • The Wise Owl Net is also sponsored by the OVMRC and is held every Friday at 20:00L on VE3TWO. It is a rag chew net and carries announcements of interest to the amateur community.
  • The Pothole Net is sponsored by the OVMRC and is held every Sunday at 10:00L on 3.760 MHz LSB. It is a rag chew net and carries announcements of interest to the amateur community.
  • The Ottawa Valley VHF/UHF SSB Net is sponsored by the West Carleton ARC. Look for it every Tuesday night (except the first Tuesday of the month) around 21:00 on 144.250, (listening on 50.150, 432.150, 222.150 and 1296.100 as well.) Horizontal polarization is encouraged although vertical will work.
