Scholarships for female amateur-radio operators who are full or part-time students

Happy International Women’s Day (March 8th)! The OARC is working hard to involve more women in amateur radio and so we’re flagging that the Young Ladies’ Radio League (YLRL) provides scholarships for female amateur-radio operators: two $2500 scholarships for full-time students and one of $1500 for part-time students.

Deadline for application: April 30, 2025. Eligibility:
  • Being in Canada is not a barrier. There are no residency restrictions. Non-US amateurs are eligible.
  • Applicants must be female.
  • Applicants must have an amateur-radio license.
  • Preference will be given to students studying communications, radio, electronics, or amateur-radio related arts and sciences.
  • Preference will be given to members of the YLRL ($15/year https://ylrl.net/membership-application/)
