This course on Sept 27-28 will provide instruction to Aux-Comm volunteers so that their individual and organizational efforts/expertise are appropriately integrated into the public safety/service communications support environment.

OARC Carp Hamfest 2025 - Report

|
OARC Carp Hamfest on September 6th was the 2nd largest in the 28-year history of the event! It remains the region’s largest Amateur Radio flea market and trade show, featuring most of the big ham radio retailers, fellow hams selling radio goodies at unbelievable prices, and major door prizes.

MS Bike Tour 2025 - Community Event - Report

The MS Bike Tour 2025 took place the weekend of August 26-27, 2025. They are back again to Cornwall, although departure Saturday and finish Sunday were from the Vernon Community Centre.

OARC Basic Amateur Radio course - Fall 2025
|
|
|
The OARC Basic Amateur Radio course prepares you to write the exam for your Amateur Radio Operator Certificate with Basic Qualification. The course covers all 100 Basic exam topics over 12 weeks. All course materials are provided.
|
Start date: Sunday, October 26, 2025
Duration: 2:00pm to 5:00pm, every Sunday for 12 weeks
Format: Hybrid
Cost: $100 Regular, $80 Student

OARC CW course – Fall 2025
|
|
|
Start date: Sunday, October 26, 2025 Duration: 1 hour (2:00pm to 3:00pm), every Sunday for approximately 12 weeks (no classes on holidays or long weekends)
Format: In-person-only
Location: Scouts Canada National Headquarters, 1345 Baseline Road
Materials: Code practice exercises will be provided. You require a Morse Key and Code Practice Oscillator.
