SUMMARY:MS Bike 2026 Ottawa to Cornwall - Community Event
DESCRIPTION:Get involved in providing radio-communications support for MS Bike 2026 – Ottawa to Cornwall\, Aug 15-16 \n\n\n\nOperators are needed for Amateur Radio safety checkpoints and net control for this two-day event. Nicole\, VE3GIQ\, (psevents@ovmrc.ca) is organising the ham radio aspects and looking for volunteers. Nicole has provided these notes so you’ll know a bit more about what to expect and what information she needs from you when you volunteer: \n\nSimilar venue as last year\nWe have more options for tracking this year\nDoing more extensive testing of comms and APRS this year\nWe will need again embedded mobiles\, fixed rest stop and observers\n\nIf you wish to volunteer here is what I need to know: \n\n\nBasic info First and Last name\, Call Sign\, and E-Mail\nCell Phone number\nAvailability (Saturday\, Sunday or both)\nFixed or Mobile assignment (both need power) and a hand held\nMobiles are embedded\nWill need up to 3 Observers. Other fixed are at stops (5 + 2)\nMobiles must be APRS capable\, fixed not\nYour QTH (helps in assignment)\nIf you have beaconing equipment (no amateur embedded)\n\n\n\n\n\nCelebrating 37 years\, the money raised by MS Bike participants ensures that people affected by MS receive quality access and support that they need in whichever community they live.
