All Amateur Radio enthusiasts are welcome: OARC members and non-members\, licensed and not-yet-licensed hams\, friends and family. \nMost monthly meetings will be hybrid. Portions of the meeting may be recorded. \nDraft Agenda \n\nWelcome\, updates (Roger\, VA3EGY)\n\nCraig Delmage\, VE3OP\, will deliver a distinctive presentation titled “Amateur Radio in Creative\, Performing and Media Arts in Canada.” His talk explores how radio fosters artistic expression\, collaboration\, and education.\nHis presentation highlights two national productions from 2025 in which Craig and several other local amateurs played quiet\, supporting yet essential roles. It traces the historical context behind these projects. It follows each team’s journey as they worked to showcase shortwave listening and Amateur Radio for the enjoyment and learning of audiences nationwide. One was meant to spark the imagination of Canadians to become our future new amateurs. Craig will also discuss the operational and technical challenges the teams encountered along the way—and how they persevered to overcome them. DESCRIPTION:Get involved with Winter Field Day 2026! \nWinter Field Day is an exciting annual event for Amateur Radio enthusiasts\, taking place on the last full weekend of January. It starts at 1600 UTC (11:00am ET) Saturday January 24th and ends 21:59 UTC (4:59pm ET) on Sunday January 25th. \nThis event offers a unique opportunity for radio operators to set up field operations in remote locations\, enabling them to connect with other participants worldwide. You may choose to participate solo or get your your friends\, family\, or whole club involved. \nWinter Field Day is organized by the Winter Field Day Association. The association strongly believes that ham radio operators should practice portable emergency communications in winter environments. This is because freezing temperatures\, snow\, ice\, and other hazards pose unique operational concerns. \nPlease see Winter Field Day’s website for more information about the event.
