Get involved in providing radio-communications support for MS Bike 2026 - Ottawa to Cornwall, Aug 15-16

Operators are needed for Amateur Radio safety checkpoints and net control for this two-day event.

FEATURED EVENT: OARC Carp Hamfest 2026 - Sept 12

OARC Carp Hamfest is the region’s largest Amateur Radio flea market and trade show, featuring most of the big ham radio retailers, fellow hams selling radio goodies at unbelievable prices, and major door prizes.

Date: Saturday, September 12, 2026
Time: 9:00 am to 12:00 noon
Location: W. Erskine Johnston Arena, 3832 Carp Road, Carp
Admission: $6 per person. Children 12 and under are free. Parking: FREE!

OARC Radio in the Park (RITP) 2026 - Sept 19

Get involved with OARC Radio in the Park (RITP) 2026.

Join fellow Club members, along with your friends and family, and set up portable Amateur Radio stations at Walter Baker Park in Kanata.

Date: Saturday, September 19, 2026
Time: 9:00am to 1:00pm, rain or shine.
Location: Walter Baker Park, 100 Charlie Rogers Place, Stittsville

OARC Basic Amateur Radio Course - Fall 2026

The OARC Basic Amateur Radio course prepares you to write the exam for your Amateur Radio Operator Certificate with Basic Qualification. The course covers all 100 Basic exam topics over approximately 12 weeks.

Start date: Sunday, September 13, 2026
Location: Zoom only, for now. We are working to find a place for those that would like join us in person.
Time: 2pm - 5pm (3 hours)
Cost: $100 ($80 student)

OARC CW Course - Fall 2026

This course prepares you to communicate using Morse Code (CW) and prepares you to take your CW Amateur Radio Morse Code Qualification exam. The course runs over approximately 12 weeks.
