OARC End-Fed Half Wave Antenna Building Workshop
|
The End-Fed Half Wave (EFHW) Antenna Building Workshop will be of interest to anyone who has a multi-band HF amateur radio with up to 100 Watts of transmitting power. Assemble a 49:1 Un-Un transformer in mounting hardware with a SO-239 feedline connector, and optionally connect an antenna wire suitable for 80/40/30/20/17/15/12/10m or 20/17/15/12/10m bands.

OARC UHF/VHF Ground Plane Antenna-Building Workshop
|

Join us for the OARC UHF/VHF Ground Plane Antenna-Building Workshop. This project will be of interest to anyone who has a UHF/VHF Amateur Radio transceiver and is looking for a better antenna to improve their radio transmit-and-receive performance over the rubber-duck antenna (on a handheld).

Field Day involves setting up temporary transmitting stations to demonstrate ham radio’s science, skill and service to our communities. One objective of Field Day is to contact as many stations as possible and to learn to operate in abnormal situations in less than optimal conditions.

That last month went by in much less time than the six or eight weeks it took February to get out of here.Anyway April had, among other things, World Amateur Radio Day and the Ontario and Quebec QSO parties. Before (and after) that busy weekend at RAC, we went to work on the end fed antenna.
