2026-04-08 Homebrew Night: Showcase Your Creations!

Dust off those soldering irons and bring out the co-ax!

It is time to showcase your creativity at the upcoming OARC Homebrew Night, Wednesday, March 11 at 6:45pm at Scouts Headquarters.

Whether you have built a simple dipole antenna, a complex digital mode interface, or a custom off-grid Meshcore setup, we want to see what you have been working on.

OARC Homebrew Night is a fantastic opportunity to share your passion, inspire fellow operators, and celebrate the spirit of DIY that makes Amateur Radio so incredibly rewarding. All members are highly encouraged to participate, regardless of the size or scope of your project. We are calling on operators of all skill levels to get involved, and there will be some fantastic prizes up for grabs to reward your ingenuity and hard work.

We are especially excited to feature a dedicated recognition for the best submission from a new HAM who has been licensed for less than two years. If you are newly licensed and just getting your feet wet with homebrewing, do not hesitate to submit your gear. This is your chance to shine, show off your fresh ideas, and get constructive feedback from the community.

Beyond the prizes and the bragging rights, participating gives you the ultimate opportunity to cement your legacy within the club. The top projects will be immortalized in our Hall of Fame, with prestigious Clare Fowler award waiting to be claimed by this year’s top innovators. Do not miss this chance to etch your name into club history, win some great gear, and enjoy a fantastic night of camaraderie and technical innovation.

We ask everyone to register, spectators and presenters alike, because this allows us to set up enough chairs and ensure there is enough coffee and snacks for everyone.
