Our newsletter 

By subscribing to the OARC Newsletter, you consent to receive the newsletter and occasionally other email notices sent by the Club regarding upcoming meetings, events, activities, or changes and updates to the website. By subscribing, you agree to be bound by the OARC privacy policy and other usage guidelines posted on the site. We collect a minimal amount of personal information (first name, last name, and email address), which we will only use for OARC business. 

Cookies

If you visit the OARC Newsletter page, to prevent you from seeing the “subscribe” pop-up repeatedly, a cookie is used to remember if you saw and dismissed it. The cookie expires after seven days. 

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

How long we retain your data

If you subscribe the OARC newsletter, we store the personal information you provide (first name, last name, and email address) in your subscription profile. Website administrators can also see and edit that information. 

You cannot edit your subscription profile. To make changes, simply use the “unsubscribe” link in the footer of every newsletter and the re-subscribe on the newsletter page, using  your new information. 

Where we send your data

Data submitted through our “Contact Us” form are checked through an automated spam detection service.

Media

If you provide images to be uploaded to the OARC website, you should avoid providing images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
