Our Amateur Radio club thrives because of its dedicated volunteers. From emergency communications to educational workshops, our club plays a vital role in the community. But to continue growing and offering these opportunities, we need your help.

Why volunteer?
The future of our club depends on volunteers like you. Volunteering strengthens the Club, builds connections, and leaves a lasting legacy for the future of Amateur Radio. It’s an opportunity to give back while developing your own skills and deepening your involvement in the hobby.
How you can help
Even a few hours of your time can make a big impact. You can help with:
- Setup and tear down of club activities like monthly meetings and Radio in the Park
- Welcoming and registering attendees at club activities like Hamfest or Field Day
- Providing support to courses and workshops
There are also some longer-term club roles that need new people to take them over from long-term volunteers who are looking for a change. Each one could be filled by a single person or divided up and done by several people. In fact, some are definitely group activities and so we’re establishing working groups where it makes sense. No experience needed for any of these roles – we’ll train you and stick with you while you learn the ropes and beyond.
Benefits to you
- Be part of a team that shares a passion for amateur radio and technical hobbies
- Gain experience in a supportive, volunteer-driven environment
- Take on new roles and develop valuable skills
- Build lasting friendships with fellow members
- Share your expertise and mentor newer members
- Know that you’re shaping the future of the Club
Be a part of something bigger. Volunteer now!
Below, you’ll find the descriptions of a range of volunteer roles with the Club, some short-term and some longer-term. And we list them all here, even though some are currently filled (indicated below).
