In December each year the Radio Amateurs of Canada (RAC) sponsors the Canada Winter Contest. Amateurs all over the world are invited to participate.

- The OARC has committed to fund food and drink (estimated $100)
- The OVMRC has been asked to contribute as well
- Opportunities for OARC members
- New hams are encouraged to participate
