Harrie Jones/VE3HYS, is the Ottawa Amateur Radio Club’s Technical Chair and the person who keeps OARC repeaters on the air. He also gives us incremental improvements, such as the recent activation of the DMR repeater at Camp Fortune. Harrie will introduce us to the new DMR Repeater at the November OARC Meeting.
However, in September, Harrie will lead a discussion related to the future of amateur radio in Canada. Harrie is involved in the Scouts Canada amateur radio program, and as such has an interest in welcoming young people to join the hobby. He also wishes to see amateur radio grow and prosper into the future. Leading a discussion, based on the recent Radio Amateurs of Canada’s survey of the interests of hams in Canada, Harrie is hoping for an interesting and lively exchange.
