SOTA (Summits on the Air) events in the Canadian Rockies are a challenging and rewarding endeavour all year long. Paul will share his experiences, techniques, and awesome photos of his journeys to the top of one of the most beautiful areas in the world.
As Paul recently told the OARC:
My interest in radio began as a kid growing up in Kenya, listening to the BBC on a short-wave radio. The motivation to become a licensed HAM began from a need to communicate in the backcountry working with the Alpine Club of Canada and has evolved into a passion for SOTA (Summits On The Air). We are blessed to live in the most beautiful country in the world, making portable operations in our wonderful wild places one of the most rewarding radio activities.
