There are youth in amateur radio – YOTA Camp shows us the way
Come to the September OARC meeting to hear what Roger Egan VA3EGY and Harrie Jones VE3HYS learned as they hosted YOTA Camp 2023 at Carleton University from July 16-21, 2023.
Meeting details
From kit building to POTA park activations, from portable satellite operations to a successful contact with the ISS, working DX all bands, all modes including CW on 100 watts and 5 watts and a successful pico balloon launch, these young hams know what they are doing, are able to learn from each other and sure showed Roger and Harrie a thing or three about what can be done to inspire young people to explore amateur radio.

Join us for this presentation. We are having a hybrid (Zoom and in-person) meeting – our first in-person meeting since the start of COVID!
In-person meeting location is Scout Headquarters (SHQ)
Scout Headquarters is at 1345 Baseline Road, Ottawa. Parking is free in the SHQ lot.
