(As you may know, Mike VE3FFK is the OARC’s ISED Delegated Examiner. This is his report for the 2021-2022 year.)
From June 1 2021 to May 30 2022 there were 13 exams, resulting in 11 new Canadian hams. Of those, 11 were Basic exams. All 11 passed with Honours. None failed or just got Basic.
There were 2 Advanced exams. Both passed.
There were no requests for Morse exams this year.
For comparison:
2020-21: 8 exams resulting in 5 new hams
2019-20: 21 exams resulting in 10 new hams
2018-19: 21 exams resulting in 14 new hams
2017-18: 24 exams resulting in 13 new hams
2016-17: 8 exams resulting in 3 new hams
I think the difference in pass rates can be attributed to the lack of a hamfest with candidates who just want to try it to see if they might pass, and the excellent courses held online by RAC.
