Are YOU the new volunteer OARC Activities Coordinator?
The OARC needs a volunteer Activities Coordinator. This is a critical role that will help ensure our sustainable, long-term growth by ensuring all our activities are well planned and executed. Most of our individual activities already have a volunteer leading them. The Activities Coordinator will provide support and help establish a more standardized approach to club activities, which will be a real time saver.
As part of the OARC team, the Activities Coordinator leads on:
- Event planning & coordination
- Volunteer management
- Vendor & exhibitor management (specific to OARC Carp Hamfest)
- Raffle & door-prize management
- Marketing & promotion (working closely with the OARC Communications Coordinator)
- On-Site event management
- Post-event activities (e.g., evaluation, thank-yous, etc.)
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in event coordination
- Passion for Amateur Radio and knowledge of the Club’s mission
- Flair for recruiting, motivating and coordinating volunteers
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of team
- Proficiency with office software (e.g., Word, Excel)
If you think that you or someone you know might be interested, then let’s have a no-obligation chat to explore the possibilities. Please email me directly by clicking Contact the Prez by 5pm on Friday, May 2nd and we’ll set up a time to talk about it. Together, we can make sure the OARC doesn’t just survive, it thrives!
